Sierra College Math and Technology Center Dedicated to former President Kevin Ramirez

Sometimes the Good Guys Win

On Friday May 9th, Sierra College dedicated the Math and Technology building to former president Kevin M. Ramirez. The honor, completely teacher/staff-driven was passed unanimously by the Sierra College Board of Trustees. The dedication ceremony was attended by Sierra College teachers, students, staff, college Board of Trustees members, family and friends, where Dr. Ramirez was lauded for his leadership and dedication to the college.

Notably missing was Aaron Klein, Board of Trustees President and the person who filed groundless charges against President Ramirez in 2004, forcing Ramirez to resign, casting a shadow over a stellar career. Both the grand jury and the Fair Practices cleared Ramirez of any wrong-doing. The actions that resulted from Klein's naive and politically-motivated attack against Ramirez have come full circle with the naming of the Mathematics and Technology Center after Dr. Ramirez, recognizing his invaluable contribution to Sierra College.
